ค. 2026 (35,000 ผู้ชม · 386 ปฏิกิริยา · WebBrain: Open-source AI browser agent for chatting with pages, automating tasks, and running multi-step workflows with your choice of LLM (1.4k stars) What it does All text below is quoted directly from the project README. >WebBrain is a web browser extension that puts an AI agent in a side panel next to your tabs. Ask it about the page you're on, or hand it a task and let it click, type, and navigate its way through. It runs on the model you choose: a local llama.cpp or Ollama server, a frontier cloud API, or the managed default that needs no setup at all. Install: >Install from the Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, or Edge Add-ons. Use it: >Click the WebBrain icon to open the side panel, then type something like: - "Summarize this page" - "Find all links about pricing" - "Fill in the search box with 'AI agents' and click Search" - "Navigate to github.com and find trending repositories" >Three modes control what the agent is allowed to do: - Ask: Read-only. Reads the page, answers questions, fetches URLs. - Act: Clicks, types, navigates, uploads, downloads, fills forms. - Dev: Adds page source, styles, console, network, and reversible page edits. Pick a model: >WebBrain Compass 1.0 is the default and needs no API key or local setup. >Local models need no API key either. Point WebBrain at any OpenAI-compatible server: llama.cpp, Ollama, vLLM, SGLang. LM Studio, Osaurus, Jan, LocalAI, and GPT4All work the same way. An audio-free d1 decision head in WebGPU: what we verified (and what we haven't) I’ve been experimenting with an audio-free derivative of LiquidAI’s d1-omni-600M as a small decision component for browser agents. It takes bounded text/JSON page state and optional screenshots, then scores named choices or returns an ordinal score. It does not generate tokens or replace a planner. The model is three unquantized FP32 ONNX graphs (~1.9 GB including external data), run through ONNX Runtime Web’s WebGPU path. On one setup (Chrome 154 + RTX 5090), we compared 92 requests / 169 questions against the source and desktop ONNX runtime: all 145 categorical decisions matched across 10 hot repeats, with numerical error under 0.001. That’s runtime parity on one machine, not a quality benchmark or a portability claim. Important caveats: the completion-quality checks so far use synthetic browser pages; an earlier split missed all seven positive examples. Real-site generalization and successful inference inside the packed extension are still unverified. The recent native ORT asyncify/JSEP loader correction was about runtime initialization, not model quality. Profiling also shows CPU/WASM work alongside WebGPU. Disclosure: I’m WebBrain’s founder; this is an experimental component, not a shipped replacement for the agent’s planner. Model card / exact caveats: huggingface.co Source adapter: github.com/webbrain-one/webbrain/blob/main/src/ch… For people who have shipped browser WebGPU inference: what would you prioritize next for cross-device validation—provider initialization, memory behavior, or a real-site evaluation set?

  10. WebBrain: A GPLv3+ autonomous browser agent built for local AI and user privacy Most recent AI agents rely on proprietary cloud platforms and closed ecosystems. I wanted to build a genuinely free and open source alternative, so I developed WebBrain under the GNU GPL v3+. WebBrain is an autonomous browser agent compatible with Chromium-based browsers, Firefox, and as a standalone desktop app. It runs locally and connects directly to local models (via Ollama or custom endpoints), ensuring that your browsing activity, credentials, and prompts never leave your system. Source code & repo: webbrain-one/webbrain Feedback, bug reports, and contributions from the FOSS community are very welcome.
