3D printable Commodore 64 keycaps, with a font recreated from my C64
I made printable Commodore 64 keycaps for MX boards, with the PETSCII graphics on the key fronts (free files) preview.redd.it This started as a showcase project the CAD tool I'm building. To get the legends right, I photographed the keycaps on my own C64 and redrew the lettering as a font, PETSCII graphics included. After a lot of sanding, inking and clear coating, I'm really happy with how it came out. It feels much better than a 3D printed set on a cheap AliExpress keyboard (an Ajazz 75%) has any right to :D Mine are printed on a Form 4L in Tough 2000 resin. The files are free, and the set now covers any ANSI board from 60% to full size: - **C64 75%** (81 caps): the original set, with RESTORE, SHIFT LOCK, RETURN and the C= key - **C64 add-on** (37 caps): TKL nav cluster, numpad, full-size and Tsangan mods, 7u space - **Plain** (119 caps): full-size ANSI with normal PC legends - **Blank** (117 caps) Each set comes as a 3MF and a STEP. In the 3MF the legends are separate parts, so you can print them in a second colour with an AMS or MMU, or fill the engraved legends with paint. Print one cap first and check how the stem fits your switches, because that depends on your printer and material. Files: szabadkai/Ajazz-C64-Keycaps Font: szabadkai/c64-keyboard-font The font is CC0, so use it for anything you like. The keycaps are CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. This is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Commodore or Ajazz.
