AVP Play – an open-source Mac app that installs the Quest games you own natively on Apple Vision Pro (no streaming)
Hi all, I've been building a Mac app called AVP Play. It takes Meta Quest games you already own, translates them on your Mac and installs them on your Apple Vision Pro, where they run natively – no PC, no streaming. First things first: all credit for the hard part goes to the developer of Klepton. Klepton is the toolchain that makes Quest games run on visionOS at all. Without that work none of this would be remotely possible. AVP Play is "only" the friendly front end around it: sign-in, downloads, building, installing, updates.
What it does
Lists the whole Quest catalogue (about 17,000 titles) and shows a label on each game: Verified (tested by me), Community Verified (more users report it runs than not), Untested, Incompatible.
You sign in with your own Meta account through Meta's own tool. The app asks Meta whether you own a game before it downloads anything – what you haven't bought is never downloaded. Your access key stays in the macOS keychain.
Steam is built in too: for games whose files come from a Steam purchase (Doom 3, Half-Life: Alyx) the app signs in through Valve's own SteamCMD and fetches exactly the files it needs – again only for games your account owns.
One click builds, signs and installs the game on the headset. DLC you bought later can be synced without rebuilding.
The app updates itself, and it's signed and notarised. Verified so far: Asgard's Wrath 2, Batman: Arkham Shadow, Beat Saber (with purchased song packs), Moss, Walkabout Mini Golf, SUPERHOT VR, Steam Link, Doom 3 (Doom3Quest port + your own Doom 3 files) and Half-Life: Alyx (your own Steam copy). Over the next few days I'll be testing and verifying a lot more of my own games.
Untested games – and fixing them with AI
You don't have to wait for me. Any game you own can be tried right away, verified or not. Expect some of them not to start – every verified game needed its own small adjustments first. If a game doesn't run properly:
report it with one click ("it works" / "it starts, with problems" / "it does not start") – these reports are what the community labels are made of, and
use "Fix with AI": you pick what goes wrong, and the app writes a complete prompt for your own AI coding assistant – where the files are, how to build and install, how to get the log off the headset. If the assistant finds a fix, you can send it in and I'll review it so everyone gets it. The more people use the app and report, the better it gets for everybody.
What you need (honest list)
An Apple Vision Pro and a Mac with Xcode
A paid Apple Developer account. That requirement may go away later, but right now it is required.
Your own Meta account with the games in it (and a Steam account for the Steam titles)
About Glovebox: yes, I know glovebox.vision, and I plan to build its specifics into AVP Play as well.
Download and source: myMartek/avp-play (MIT licensed) This is not affiliated with Meta, Valve or Apple, and it does not include or share any game content: everything is downloaded from Meta or Valve with your own account, for games you bought. Happy to answer questions – and I'd love to hear which games work for you.

@iVRy_VR @Surreal_Touch it looks like it's standard Bluetooth so, whatever works for normal Bluetooth devices github.com/shinyquagsire23/SurrealTouch_re/blob/m…
macOS Questlink showcase - PippinVR- OpenXR and Monado edits Hello everyone, Working on updates for PippinVR, an open-source virtual desktop application on macOS. It communicates and attaches using QuestLink (USB direct). triscuitcircuit/PippinVR The recent updates include using HRTF-HQ for spatial based audio, testing API (for MATLAB, Python, etc. to communicate to) and cutout options. Showcased is a demo video with 10 screens, cutout, and hand occlusion all running natively on the Mac. This relies on edits to Monado and OpenXR to run on MoltenVK (Vulkan) -> Metal for screen recordings to texture rendering. Specifically, it's a GPU only copy to Vulkan to the compositor, taking advantage of UMA. It builds off previous work by ShinyQuagsire and Monado: github.com/shinyquagsire23/monado/tree/macos\_ql\_merge PippinVR is free and open-source under the GPLv3 license. Newt (the handler for USB and OpenXR/Monado communication) is MIT-licensed.

All Installers are signed by an Apple developer account and built by the runners based on repo code.
@ElasticSea oh I've done some legwork on this in the past but with Monado (granted, haven't checked if the protocol changed). Eye tracking is where it gets weird and nonstandard but it might help if you have trouble keeping the connection alive still github.com/shinyquagsire23/monado/tree/macos_ql_m…
AI will increasingly break platform silos. For example, Klepton & AVP Play can make Quest and Android games compatible with Apple Vision Pro. shinyquagsire23/Klepton myMartek/avp-play glovebox.vision
