Rerun is a visualization toolkit for robotics and computer vision, written in Rust. Debug sensor data by replaying images, 3D point clouds and timelines together in one synchronized viewer. 11k+ stars rerun-io/rerun
I'm hoping to land this soon, in the meantime you can use the custom viewer found here - <github.com/rerun-io/examples-monorepo/tree/main/p…>
Splatting is going to be a critical part of the ego collection pipeline IMO, so I'm working on improving our current official support. code here - - <github.com/rerun-io/examples-monorepo/tree/main/p…> The current shipped version does well for less than 1M splats, but not so much for larger ones such as the iconic garden scene (5.2M splats). I ported over brushes kernels to @rerundotio and now on my M5 I'm getting ~40-50fps when recording or a solid 60fps when not. This is basically a 10x improvement from the current version and this huge improvement that wouldn't have been possible without all the verification loops we've added with the rerun skills and MCP. I'll break down what was required to make this work ⬇︎
rerun ⭐ 12k Rerun is an open-source tool that logs robotics data streams so developers can visualize them. 🔗 rerun-io/rerun #opensource t.co
You can now debug a robot by scrubbing through everything it saw. Rerun logs, queries and visualizes multimodal data on one shared columnar store. Images, point clouds, transforms, time series, joint states and video stay side by side. Say a vacuum robot keeps running into walls, and text logs tell you nothing. The viewer lays its camera, depth, lidar and map on one timeline you can scrub. > Python, Rust and C++ SDKs > Viewer runs in the browser > Query with dataframes or SQL > Streams dataset mixes to training > Reads MCAP and LeRobot data Robot logs, egocentric rigs, simulation and web video can all go into the same store. CV pipelines like SLAM and hand tracking run as edits to the same tables. You can log your first data and open it in the viewer in about two minutes. The API is still evolving, and the team warns to expect breaking changes. rerun-io/rerun #OpenSource #AI #GitHub
