  1. Blizzard never made Diablo II in VR. A modder did, and it's free. Mod: BodyWalk VR (natpoh) natpoh/diablo2-vr-port Gameplay: @PCVRGamer #Diablo2 #VR #PCVR t.co

Physical melee in Diablo 2 Resurrected VR – the weapon stops on each limb and the body reacts D2R VR Authentic – a free VR mod for Diablo II: Resurrected (native OpenXR, full body in first person, hit by touch). In this clip: the weapon in your hand meets each monster’s own limbs, read from the game’s model, and humanoids give way by their weight when you push or stab them. The limbs are in 0.176; the weight and the stab are still being tuned (off by default). Source (MIT): natpoh/diablo2-vr-port Download: bodywalkvr.com

Diablo II: Resurrected in VR - update 0.168: weapons with weight, a flail on a real chain, the bow's energy orbs D2R VR is a free mod that puts Diablo II: Resurrected in VR. You can play it in first person with your own body and hands, in third person, or with the whole game on your floor. What's new in 0.168 - No more frozen game. Test builds after 0.167 could freeze a minute into play in native OpenXR; the right eye's work now goes to the GPU in the game's own calls, which is also about 1 ms a stereo pair faster. - Weapons with weight. The hero's Strength against the weapon's requirement decides how heavy it feels; heavy blades lag behind your hand and swing with momentum. Take a two-hander with your second hand - a sword by its hilt. - A flail on a real chain. The ball swings free, bounces off what it hits, and is what strikes with hit by touch; its weight has a slider. - Behind your shoulders. Put a weapon, the bow or the crossbow away behind a shoulder and draw it back; a dropped weapon lies where it fell and comes back to your grip. The shield is always on the arm opposite the weapon; carry it behind your left shoulder and let go to put it away. - Bow. Energy orbs along the stave pick the arrow skill, the white one is the plain shot. The arrow burns, freezes or crackles by the skill you chose; with too little mana you shoot a plain arrow. - Crossbow. Held by its own grip, the left hand on the stock, the shot along the drawn barrel. - Spells aimed by your hand or your staff. - Your wrist shows summons, the mercenary, buffs, auras and curses; your palm shows life and mana. - The skill panel sorts skills by the class's three trees; Run / Walk can be bound to any button, and buttons can act on a touch. - The monster's own plate over its head, roofs that stay when you walk in (with their underside), a wounded mercenary tinted red, room-scale walking. - PS VR2: pause on the right Options button; vibration in the hand that hits. - The settings that come with the mod are the author's again. Updating from 0.167: if you never changed the settings you get everything at once. If you did, Setup asks - answer "No - take this version's default settings" to get it (your old file is kept as d2r_vr.ini.before-0.168.0). D2R VR 0.164: drink potions straight from your belt, and trade with vendors with the world still in 3D Update for my Diablo II: Resurrected VR mod (D2R VR 0.164). Two things in this video. Belt potions in your hand: the belt’s bottom row hangs on the hero’s hips as the game’s own 3D models. Grab one with the controller grip, bring it to your mouth to drink it (it uses the game’s own belt command). Menus as a panel, the world stays in 3D: in first person, the trader, inventory, stash, skills and game menu hang in front of you as a panel instead of flattening the whole picture. Both are in D2R VR Settings (UI: F4 body). Belt potions are off until you tick them, menus as a panel is on by default. On FlatVR the panel needs a recent BodyWalk. Menus as a panel follows what bearstonem’s fork d2r-pcvr found in the game, thanks! bearstonem/d2r-pcvr Source (MIT): natpoh/diablo2-vr-port

Diablo II: Resurrected in VR - update 0.164: spells along your hand, potions from your belt, brighter caves D2R VR is a free mod that puts Diablo II: Resurrected in VR. You can play it in first person with your own body and hands, in third person, or with the whole game on your floor. Video: What's new in 0.164 - Spells fly where your hand points. Fire Bolt, Bone Spear, Frozen Orb and the rest no longer snap to a monster: the game's auto-target is off for that cast. A new Auto-target tab keeps it for the spells you tick. - Potions on your belt. The belt's bottom row hangs on the hero's hips as the game's own 3D models; grab one and bring it to your mouth to drink it. (D2R VR Settings > UI: F4 body > Belt potions, off by default.) - Brighter caves and dungeons for headsets that lose the darkest shades, such as Meta Quest: the game's own light is turned up, so the colours keep their strength. (Ceiling > Light in caves, off by default.) - Menus as a panel: the inventory, the stash or a trader hang in front of you, and the world stays in 3D around you (native OpenXR, and FlatVR with BodyWalk 1.80, out today). - Fixes: no more crash in the Act 3 jungle with a far render distance; no more pale veil in Lut Gholein or grey haze in the picture's corners. Diablo II: Resurrected in VR on Quest 3 via Steam Link or Virtual Desktop: physical bow, melee and spells (free PCVR mod) WIP Edit: D2R PCVR now has a Discord: discord.gg Come by for install help, bug reports, or to share your VR clips. If you try it on a headset we haven't tested yet (Quest 2, Index, Pimax, …), please tell us how it went in #headset-reports. This is a free and open-source PCVR mod for Diablo II: Resurrected in first person with full motion controls and physical combat. It runs on your PC and streams to the Quest over **Steam Link** or **Virtual Desktop (VDXR)**. This is still a WIP so any feedback from you guys is greatly appricated :) Full Pre-Release Video: youtu.be - Draw and fire a bow by hand, and swing melee weapons for real - Reach over your shoulder to swap weapons - Raise skeletons and aim spells with your hand - Drink potions straight off your belt - Laser-pointer inventory, stash and merchants - A spells wheel to quickly assign skills/spells to action slots Setup: double-click the installer, pick Quest 3 and your connection (Steam Link, Virtual Desktop or both), and it creates the Steam shortcuts for you. Needs your own Steam or BattleNET copy of D2R and a Windows gaming PC. Offline single-player only. Quest 2 should use the same path but hasn't been confirmed yet. DOWNLOAD FROM RELEASES: github.com/bearstonem/d2r-pcvr/releases FAQ: - "Will I get banned?" It's for offline single-player only. Injecting code into the game online can get your account banned, so keep it to offline characters and use the normal game for multiplayer. - "Battle.net version?" Not yet. The preview needs the Steam edition of D2R. BattleNET is now supported. - "Index / Pimax / Quest Pro?" The installer lets you pick any SteamVR headset, but only Steam Frame and Quest 3 have been tested so far. Please report back if you try one. - "How is this different from BodyWalkVR's mod?" It builds on their D2R VR. This version renders natively through OpenXR (SteamVR or Virtual Desktop, no BodyWalk/FlatVR needed) and adds the motion combat, physical bow and potions, VR menus and foveated rendering.
