Contributors of the month October 2026
46 community contributors had 143 PRs merged in October! From "won't do" tasks, repeat end dates and multi-task dragging to a much bigger Local REST API, faster long task lists, new community plugins and translation updates, this was our biggest month yet by number of contributors.
A massive thank you to everyone who invested their time in making Super Productivity better.
Outstanding contributions
@tiliakoos had a remarkable month with 28 PRs. Highlights include an alarm-style looping bell for reminders on desktop (#11015), New task, Today and Inbox in the macOS dock menu and Windows jump list (#11017), configurable trusted proxy ranges and daily cleanup hour for the SuperSync server (#10297, #10301), and enforcing plugins' minimum app version (#11019). Recurrence got a lot of care too: monthly repeats no longer skip short months (#10919), deleted instances are skipped in the next-occurrence tooltip (#10603), tasks copied by Duplicate Project no longer link to the original's repeat config (#11004), and recurrence date logic is now shared (#11022). The rest spans bug fixes, performance, accessibility, translations, tests and docs.
@steindvart contributed 14 PRs, many of them polishing plugins and the side nav. The sync state is now one clear glyph instead of a checkmark overlay (#10430); projects and tags are indented under their section headers, archived projects appear at the bottom of the projects list, and collapsing those lists is animated (#10712, #10713, #10518). On the plugin side: a confirmation before clearing uploaded plugins, clearer naming for that action, translated Community Plugins cards, and plugin language names shown in the UI language (#10558, #10962, #10557, #10559). Short syntax now only suggests @ options the parser actually understands (#10460).
@davidvornholt delivered 13 PRs with a focus on the Local REST API and performance. The API can now manage task repeat configs (#10510), correct or remove a day's tracked time (#10890), and read and update simple counters (#10891). A series of performance PRs cut the per-row cost of long task lists (#11105), skip per-second work that changes nothing while tracking or in Focus Mode (#11104), and avoid needless recomputation for due-date colors, archive checks, counter charts and Flowtime animations (#11103, #11107, #11108, #10519). Focus Mode sessions also got more robust (#10995, #11040).
@Zoriot contributed 9 PRs: multi-tag filtering in the task view customizer (#11095), making "move to top/bottom" work for tasks in a section (#10747), preserving subtask due dates and undated subtasks when duplicating a task (#10302, #10741), mapping plannedAt to dueWithTime in the Local REST API (#11093), closing note editors before the desktop add-task bar opens (#10300, #10632), and listing the standalone Markdown notes and monday.com plugins in the community catalog (#11096, #11133).
@GabeSilvaDev contributed 9 PRs: new repeat instances now appear where the previous one was, including in sections (#11197, #11243); issue-provider plugins can declare their own done states (#10470); the Local REST API waits for archive removal before answering a task restore and keeps reminders in sync when dueWithTime changes (#10967, #11013); settings search reopens hand-collapsed sections (#10601); the Planner shows distinct weekday labels in the app locale (#10629); task lists reject a dragged section (#10900); and missing Brazilian Portuguese strings were translated (#10543).
@siemieniuk delivered 6 PRs: an undo button for unscheduling a task (#10450), a localized heatmap with local date formatting (#10329), a thorough Polish translation overhaul (#10324), HTML formatting that showed as raw tags in several translations (#10320), darkening of background images under the Liquid theme (#10466), and reopening a project from its archived project details (#10946).
@H1manshu01 contributed 6 PRs: projects and tags now show up in search results (#10606), yearly repeats handle leap days (#10724), checklist items insert reliably on repeated toolbar clicks and hover controls stay clear of note text (#10566, #10605), and several Vietnamese strings were fixed (#10565, #10723).

CLI Printing Press: Print the best CLIs in the world for agents (4.9k stars)
What it does
All text below is quoted directly from the project README.
>Every API has a secret identity. This finds it, absorbs every feature from every competing tool, then builds the GOAT CLI, designed for AI agents first, with SQLite sync, offline search, and compound insight commands.
Why these CLIs win:
- Local-first data layer. High-gravity resources get domain-specific SQLite tables (not JSON blobs), FTS5 full-text search indexes, and incremental sync with cursor tracking.
- Compound commands no wrapper can do. Once data lives in SQLite, commands like stale, health, bottleneck, and reconcile become possible - they join across resources and analyze history.
- Agent-native by default. Human-friendly tables when you're in a terminal. Auto-JSON when piped, no --json flag needed.
- No spec? No problem. Don't have an OpenAPI spec? Point the press at a website. It launches a browser, captures traffic, reverse-engineers the API, and generates the spec for you.
- Dual interface from one spec. Every API gets a Cobra CLI (<api>-pp-cli) and an MCP server (<api>-pp-mcp). Same client, same store, same auth.
- Verified, not vibes. Four mechanical checks - scorecard, dogfood, proof-of-behavior, live API smoke test - catch hallucinated paths, dead flags, auth mismatches, and broken data pipelines before you ship.

Last30Days: How a Multi-Platform Agent Skill Scores Search Results by Real Money and Engagement
Last30Days is an agent skill that treats search as a parallel data orchestration problem. It queries Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Hacker News, Polymarket, arXiv, Techmeme, Instagram, and Bluesky in one pass, scores results by engagement and real-money predictions, then hands a ranked list to an LLM for synthesis. The skill runs in 50+ agent hosts (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI) via the Agent Skills standard, and it ships with a 30-second setup wizard that handles OAuth flows and API key rotation without blocking the baseline workflow.
This is not a web scraper with an LLM wrapper. It is a production-grade orchestration layer that unifies heterogeneous data sources (social platforms, prediction markets, academic indexes) into a single queryable interface. The scoring algorithm combines upvotes, likes, view counts, and Polymarket odds into a unified relevance signal that agents can trust without manual tuning.
Why This Matters
Most agent research workflows hit one of two failure modes: they scrape Google and summarize SEO spam, or they call a single API (Reddit, X) and miss signal from other platforms. Last30Days solves the orchestration problem by running parallel queries across 10+ sources, handling rate limits and cascading failures gracefully, and normalizing engagement metrics into a single score.
The skill uses real-money Polymarket predictions as a signal alongside social engagement. When people bet their own capital on an outcome, that signal carries more weight than upvotes or likes. The scoring function treats Polymarket odds as a prior and adjusts based on engagement velocity across platforms.
Zero-config baseline: Reddit, Hacker News, Polymarket, and GitHub work immediately without API keys. The setup wizard unlocks X, YouTube, TikTok, arXiv, Techmeme, Instagram, and Bluesky in 30 seconds by walking through OAuth flows and storing credentials in a local config file.
Architecture
The skill is a Python package that exposes a single command (/last30days <query>) to agent hosts. Under the hood, it orchestrates parallel API calls, normalizes responses, scores results, and returns a ranked list of URLs with metadata.
Orchestration Flow
1. Query dispatch: The skill parses the user query and dispatches parallel requests to all configured platforms. Each platform adapter runs in its own async task.
2. Rate limit handling: Each adapter tracks its own rate limit state and backs off exponentially when it hits a 429. The orchestrator does not block on slow or rate-limited platforms.
3. Response normalization: Each adapter returns a list of SearchResult objects with fields like title, url, score, engagement_metrics, and timestamp. The orchestrator merges these lists.
4. Scoring: The scoring function computes a weighted sum of engagement metrics (upvotes, likes, views, comments) and Polymarket odds. The weights are tunable but default to a balanced mix.
5. LLM synthesis: The ranked list is passed to the agent's LLM context. The agent synthesizes a summary based on the top N results.
Platform Adapters
Each platform has its own adapter class that implements a standard interface:
- search(query: str, limit: int) -> List[SearchResult]
- authenticate() -> bool
- get_rate_limit_status() -> RateLimitStatus
Adapters handle platform-specific quirks like pagination, OAuth token refresh, and response schema mapping. The Reddit adapter uses PRAW, the X adapter uses Tweepy, the YouTube adapter uses the official Google API client, and so on.
State Management
The skill stores configuration and credentials in a local JSON file (~/.last30days/config.json). The setup wizard writes to this file during onboarding. Each agent host reads from the same config file, so you authenticate once and the skill works across all hosts.
The config file includes:
- API keys and OAuth tokens for each platform
- Rate limit state (last request timestamp, remaining quota)
- Scoring weights (tunable per-platform)
- Feature flags (enable/disable specific platforms)
The skill does not store query history or result caches. Each query is stateless.
Scoring Algorithm
The scoring function combines engagement metrics and Polymarket odds into a single relevance score. The formula is:
score = (upvotes * w_upvotes + likes * w_likes + views * w_views + comments * w_comments) * recency_decay + polymarket_odds * w_polymarket
Where:
- w_upvotes, w_likes, w_views, w_comments are platform-specific weights
- recency_decay is an exponential decay function based on post age (newer posts score higher)
- polymarket_odds is the probability of the event occurring (0-1 scale)
- w_polymarket is the weight assigned to real-money predictions
The default weights are tuned to balance social engagement and prediction market signal. You can override them in the config file.
Security Boundaries
The skill runs in the agent host's process and inherits its security context. API keys and OAuth tokens are stored in plaintext in the config file. The setup wizard does not encrypt credentials because the threat model assumes the agent host is running on a trusted machine.
If you run the skill in a shared environment (CI, cloud notebook), you should:
- Store credentials in environment variables instead of the config file
- Use a secrets manager (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault) to rotate keys
- Disable platforms that require OAuth (X, YouTube) and rely on zero-config platforms (Reddit, HN, Polymarket)
The skill does not send queries or results to a remote server. All data flows through the agent host's LLM context.
Deployment Shape
The skill is distributed as a Python package on PyPI and as an Agent Skills plugin. You install it once and it works across all agent hosts that support the Agent Skills standard.
Installation Options
Claude Code (recommended):
/plugin marketplace add mvanhorn/last30days-skill
/plugin install last30days
Claude Code auto-updates the skill when a new version is published.
Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI:
npx skills add mvanhorn/last30days-skill -g
The -g flag installs globally for your user. Drop it to scope per-project.
Manual install:
pip install last30days-skill
Then configure your agent host to load the skill from the installed package.
Setup Wizard
The first time you run /last30days, the skill checks for a config file. If it does not exist, the wizard prompts you to authenticate with each platform. The wizard handles OAuth flows by opening a browser window and listening for the callback on a local HTTP server.
The wizard flow:
1. Prompt for Reddit API key (optional, works without it)
2. Prompt for X OAuth (opens browser, waits for callback)
3. Prompt for YouTube API key (optional)
4. Prompt for TikTok API key (optional)
5. Prompt for Polymarket API key (optional, works without it)
6. Write config file to ~/.last30days/config.json
The wizard takes 30 seconds if you have all keys ready. If you skip a platform, the skill disables it and continues with the others.
Observability
The skill logs to stdout using Python's logging module. You can set the log level in the config file or via an environment variable (LAST30DAYS_LOG_LEVEL).
Log events include:
- Query dispatch (which platforms are queried)
- Rate limit hits (which platform, how long to wait)
- API errors (which platform, error message)
- Scoring results (top N URLs with scores)
The skill does not expose metrics endpoints or traces. If you need observability in production, wrap the skill in a monitoring layer (OpenTelemetry, Datadog) and instrument the platform adapters.
Failure Modes
The skill is designed to degrade gracefully when platforms fail. If Reddit returns a 500, the orchestrator logs the error and continues with the other platforms. The final result set includes data from all successful platforms.
Common failure modes:
| Failure | Behavior | Mitigation |
|---------|----------|------------|
| Rate limit hit | Adapter backs off exponentially, retries after delay | Tune rate limit buffer in config |
| OAuth token expired | Adapter fails, logs error, disables platform for this query | Re-run setup wizard to refresh token |
| API schema change | Adapter fails to parse response, logs error, returns empty list | Update skill to latest version |
| Network timeout | Adapter retries 3 times with exponential backoff, then fails | Increase timeout in config |
| Polymarket API down | Scoring function ignores Polymarket signal, relies on social engagement | No mitigation needed (graceful degradation) |
The skill does not retry failed queries automatically. If a platform fails, you re-run the query or disable the platform in the config file.
Trade-Offs
Pros:
- Unified interface for 10+ platforms (Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, HN, Polymarket, arXiv, Techmeme, Instagram, Bluesky)
- Real-money prediction market signal (Polymarket odds) alongside social engagement
- Zero-config baseline (Reddit, HN, Polymarket, GitHub work without API keys)
- 30-second setup wizard for OAuth and API keys
- Works across 50+ agent hosts via Agent Skills standard
Cons:
- Plaintext credential storage (not suitable for shared environments without additional security)
- No built-in caching (every query hits all platforms, can be slow or expensive)
- Scoring weights are global (cannot tune per-query or per-platform dynamically)
- No support for custom platforms (you cannot add a new data source without forking the repo)
- OAuth token refresh is manual (you re-run the setup wizard when tokens expire)
Code Example: Custom Scoring Weights
If you want to tune the scoring function, edit the config file:
{
"scoring": {
"weights": {
"upvotes": 1.0,
"likes": 0.8,
"views": 0.5,
"comments": 1.2,
"polymarket": 2.0
},
"recency_decay_hours": 24
}
}
The recency_decay_hours parameter controls how quickly older posts lose relevance. A value of 24 means posts older than 24 hours start to decay exponentially.
Technical Verdict
Use Last30Days when:
- You need multi-platform research workflows that unify social, prediction markets, and academic sources
- You want engagement-based ranking that reflects real user behavior (upvotes, likes, real-money bets)
- You run agent workflows in trusted environments (local machine, private cloud) where plaintext credential storage is acceptable
- You want zero-config baseline functionality (Reddit, HN, Polymarket) without API keys
Avoid Last30Days when:
- You need encrypted credential storage or secrets rotation (use a secrets manager instead)
- You need per-query caching or result deduplication (add a caching layer on top)
- You need to add custom data sources without forking the repo (the skill is not plugin-extensible)
- You run in shared or untrusted environments where plaintext credentials are a risk
The skill is production-grade orchestration infrastructure for agent-driven research. It solves the parallel API call problem, handles rate limits gracefully, and normalizes heterogeneous data sources into a single queryable interface. The scoring algorithm is simple but effective: it combines social engagement and real-money predictions into a unified relevance signal that agents can trust.

mvanhorn/last30days-skill
Contributors of the month October 2026 46 community contributors had 143 PRs merged in October! From "won't do" tasks, repeat end dates and multi-task dragging to a much bigger Local REST API, faster long task lists, new community plugins and translation updates, this was our biggest month yet by number of contributors. A massive thank you to everyone who invested their time in making Super Productivity better. Outstanding contributions @tiliakoos had a remarkable month with 28 PRs. New features and everyday workflows - @anandghegde added "Finish as won't do" for tasks you decide not to do (#10708), an optional end date for repeating tasks (#10276), and kept short-syntax tokens out of auto-created issue titles (#10273). - @ac9492 added dragging selected tasks together between sections and projects (#10505), relative-date colors for scheduled dates and Today icons (#10494), and an opt-in desktop app-icon badge for due tasks (#10921). - @MannXo made the repeat dialog show the next instance and the subtasks it will inherit (#10279) and deferred remote issue deletion until the undo window has passed (#10192). - @nilay1221 added nth-weekday short syntax such as @2monday (#10308). - @ParthibanRajasekaran brought deadlines into the Schedule view (#10310) and let task titles wrap in portrait mode on iOS (#10173). - @symonbaikov added a done/total badge on collapsed subtask toggles (#7115), precomputed ordered task groups in the work view (#8437), and routed plugin PATCH requests through native HTTP on Android (#8590). - @dschodits made deadlines discoverable in the Add Task bar with a hint and a button (#11146). - @artemc added a separate volume setting for Focus Mode sounds (#10568). - @MaiwulanjiangMaiming reworked the side-nav collapse/expand animation and repaired macOS window-drag dead zones (#10303, #10176). - @Zhong-fan kept priorities on recurring tasks and let configured keyboard navigation continue across task groups (#10821, #10822). - @akshit-codes made projects hidden from the side menu selectable in the add-task bar's project picker (#11092). Local REST API, integrations and calendars - @SaintChris added notes routes and POST /tasks/:id/time for logging time on a given day to the Local REST API (#10827, #10826). - @costajohnt let the local create_task assistant tool take a due date, time and repeat, and fixed moving existing tasks picked in the add-task bar in project contexts (#10899, #10898). - @sespiros included plugin calendar providers in the Schedule filter and event colors, and made paginated tab headers scroll with wheel and trackpad gestures (#7813, #11132). - @michaelkcarlson added per-calendar colors to Planner calendar events (#10965). - @SulimanAbdulrazzaq listed multi-day all-day events on every date they cover in the Planner (#10299). - @Zombiehamser let plugins list their synced data keys and exposed the existing sync request to typed iframe clients (#11044, #11053). Mobile, desktop and self-hosting - @BigWebstas added the currently tracked task to the Android home-screen widget, kept bottom-anchored overlays attached to their trigger on Android, and exposed getAllSimpleCounters to iframe plugins (#10327, #10205, #10321). - @d0g2342 fixed the iOS "Could not import shared content" error by carrying the App Group entitlement into the exported IPA (#10893). - @artemis-mike added arm64 images for the SuperSync server, so it can run on a Raspberry Pi (#10218). Reliability and correctness - @jashkarangiya fixed date-only keys being read as the previous day west of UTC in the habit and focus dialogs, and made plugin counter reads and writes use the logical day (#10419, #11037). - @BhavayGoyal keyed simple-counter streaks on the logical day and flagged empty translation values (#11195, #11196). - @Lay-quq stopped the Planner from double-counting subtasks planned on other days (#10923). - @FadhilR12 kept disabled features from being reachable via direct URL (#10585). - @Hrushikesh-ramilla made Schedule navigation start from the displayed logical month (#10536). Interface fixes and polish - @stepanstipl showed the project title in single-select triggers and stopped untouched checkboxes from rendering as indeterminate (#10647, #10763). - @mvanhorn gave see-through task hover controls an opaque underlay (#10564). - @leafybees made the shortcut open the task view customizer's header filter (#11205). - @edu-zamora gave the Zen Focus Mode notes panel an opaque background (#10761). - @akshar27 allowed a leading space before the URL in Markdown =WxH image sizing (#10154). - @Ibitier and @irontaek cleaned up code in the tag editor and removed write-only maps (#10133, #10607). - @zenoprax clarified the docs on editing date and time fields and on Docker (#10538). CLI Printing Press: Print the best CLIs in the world for agents (4.9k stars) What it does All text below is quoted directly from the project README. >Every API has a secret identity. This finds it, absorbs every feature from every competing tool, then builds the GOAT CLI, designed for AI agents first, with SQLite sync, offline search, and compound insight commands. Why these CLIs win: - Local-first data layer. Four mechanical checks - scorecard, dogfood, proof-of-behavior, live API smoke test - catch hallucinated paths, dead flags, auth mismatches, and broken data pipelines before you ship. >curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mvanhorn/cli-printing-press/main/scripts/install.sh | bash Repository mvanhorn/cli-printing-press Repository stats |Metric|Value| |:-|:-| |Stars|4,870| |Forks|532| |Last release|v4.34.2 (2026-10-25)| |Languages|Go 77.4%, Go Template 20.6%, Python 1.7%| |Contributors|107| |AI contributor accounts (Claude / Codex / Cursor / Copilot)|@claude (644 commits), @cursoragent (268 commits), @codex (5 commits)| |AI co-authored commits|Claude: 645, Codex: 1, Cursor: 266| Main contributor |Field|Value| |:-|:-| |Name|Trevin Chow| |GitHub|@tmchow| |Commits to this repo|1,521 (top contributor)| |Bio|Exploring and building. Last30Days: How a Multi-Platform Agent Skill Scores Search Results by Real Money and Engagement Last30Days is an agent skill that treats search as a parallel data orchestration problem. Why This Matters Most agent research workflows hit one of two failure modes: they scrape Google and summarize SEO spam, or they call a single API (Reddit, X) and miss signal from other platforms. Architecture The skill is a Python package that exposes a single command (/last30days <query>) to agent hosts. Under the hood, it orchestrates parallel API calls, normalizes responses, scores results, and returns a ranked list of URLs with metadata. Orchestration Flow 1. Platform Adapters Each platform has its own adapter class that implements a standard interface: - search(query: str, limit: int) -> List[SearchResult] - authenticate() -> bool - get_rate_limit_status() -> RateLimitStatus Adapters handle platform-specific quirks like pagination, OAuth token refresh, and response schema mapping. The Reddit adapter uses PRAW, the X adapter uses Tweepy, the YouTube adapter uses the official Google API client, and so on. State Management The skill stores configuration and credentials in a local JSON file (~/.last30days/config.json). The setup wizard writes to this file during onboarding. Each agent host reads from the same config file, so you authenticate once and the skill works across all hosts. The config file includes: - API keys and OAuth tokens for each platform - Rate limit state (last request timestamp, remaining quota) - Scoring weights (tunable per-platform) - Feature flags (enable/disable specific platforms) The skill does not store query history or result caches. Each query is stateless. Scoring Algorithm The scoring function combines engagement metrics and Polymarket odds into a single relevance score. The formula is: score = (upvotes * w_upvotes + likes * w_likes + views * w_views + comments * w_comments) * recency_decay + polymarket_odds * w_polymarket Where: - w_upvotes, w_likes, w_views, w_comments are platform-specific weights - recency_decay is an exponential decay function based on post age (newer posts score higher) - polymarket_odds is the probability of the event occurring (0-1 scale) - w_polymarket is the weight assigned to real-money predictions The default weights are tuned to balance social engagement and prediction market signal. You can override them in the config file. Security Boundaries The skill runs in the agent host's process and inherits its security context. API keys and OAuth tokens are stored in plaintext in the config file. The setup wizard does not encrypt credentials because the threat model assumes the agent host is running on a trusted machine. If you run the skill in a shared environment (CI, cloud notebook), you should: - Store credentials in environment variables instead of the config file - Use a secrets manager (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault) to rotate keys - Disable platforms that require OAuth (X, YouTube) and rely on zero-config platforms (Reddit, HN, Polymarket) The skill does not send queries or results to a remote server. All data flows through the agent host's LLM context. Deployment Shape The skill is distributed as a Python package on PyPI and as an Agent Skills plugin. You install it once and it works across all agent hosts that support the Agent Skills standard. Installation Options Claude Code (recommended): /plugin marketplace add mvanhorn/last30days-skill /plugin install last30days Claude Code auto-updates the skill when a new version is published. Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI: npx skills add mvanhorn/last30days-skill -g The -g flag installs globally for your user. Drop it to scope per-project. Manual install: pip install last30days-skill Then configure your agent host to load the skill from the installed package. Setup Wizard The first time you run /last30days, the skill checks for a config file. If it does not exist, the wizard prompts you to authenticate with each platform. The wizard handles OAuth flows by opening a browser window and listening for the callback on a local HTTP server. The wizard flow: 1. Prompt for Reddit API key (optional, works without it) 2. Prompt for X OAuth (opens browser, waits for callback) 3. Prompt for YouTube API key (optional) 4. Prompt for TikTok API key (optional) 5. Prompt for Polymarket API key (optional, works without it) 6. Write config file to ~/.last30days/config.json The wizard takes 30 seconds if you have all keys ready. If you skip a platform, the skill disables it and continues with the others. Observability The skill logs to stdout using Python's logging module. You can set the log level in the config file or via an environment variable (LAST30DAYS_LOG_LEVEL). Log events include: - Query dispatch (which platforms are queried) - Rate limit hits (which platform, how long to wait) - API errors (which platform, error message) - Scoring results (top N URLs with scores) The skill does not expose metrics endpoints or traces. If you need observability in production, wrap the skill in a monitoring layer (OpenTelemetry, Datadog) and instrument the platform adapters. Failure Modes The skill is designed to degrade gracefully when platforms fail. If Reddit returns a 500, the orchestrator logs the error and continues with the other platforms. The final result set includes data from all successful platforms. Common failure modes: | Failure | Behavior | Mitigation | |---------|----------|------------| | Rate limit hit | Adapter backs off exponentially, retries after delay | Tune rate limit buffer in config | | OAuth token expired | Adapter fails, logs error, disables platform for this query | Re-run setup wizard to refresh token | | API schema change | Adapter fails to parse response, logs error, returns empty list | Update skill to latest version | | Network timeout | Adapter retries 3 times with exponential backoff, then fails | Increase timeout in config | | Polymarket API down | Scoring function ignores Polymarket signal, relies on social engagement | No mitigation needed (graceful degradation) | The skill does not retry failed queries automatically. If a platform fails, you re-run the query or disable the platform in the config file. Trade-Offs Pros: - Unified interface for 10+ platforms (Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, HN, Polymarket, arXiv, Techmeme, Instagram, Bluesky) - Real-money prediction market signal (Polymarket odds) alongside social engagement - Zero-config baseline (Reddit, HN, Polymarket, GitHub work without API keys) - 30-second setup wizard for OAuth and API keys - Works across 50+ agent hosts via Agent Skills standard Cons: - Plaintext credential storage (not suitable for shared environments without additional security) - No built-in caching (every query hits all platforms, can be slow or expensive) - Scoring weights are global (cannot tune per-query or per-platform dynamically) - No support for custom platforms (you cannot add a new data source without forking the repo) - OAuth token refresh is manual (you re-run the setup wizard when tokens expire) Code Example: Custom Scoring Weights If you want to tune the scoring function, edit the config file: { "scoring": { "weights": { "upvotes": 1.0, "likes": 0.8, "views": 0.5, "comments": 1.2, "polymarket": 2.0 }, "recency_decay_hours": 24 } } The recency_decay_hours parameter controls how quickly older posts lose relevance. A value of 24 means posts older than 24 hours start to decay exponentially. Technical Verdict Use Last30Days when: - You need multi-platform research workflows that unify social, prediction markets, and academic sources - You want engagement-based ranking that reflects real user behavior (upvotes, likes, real-money bets) - You run agent workflows in trusted environments (local machine, private cloud) where plaintext credential storage is acceptable - You want zero-config baseline functionality (Reddit, HN, Polymarket) without API keys Avoid Last30Days when: - You need encrypted credential storage or secrets rotation (use a secrets manager instead) - You need per-query caching or result deduplication (add a caching layer on top) - You need to add custom data sources without forking the repo (the skill is not plugin-extensible) - You run in shared or untrusted environments where plaintext credentials are a risk The skill is production-grade orchestration infrastructure for agent-driven research. It solves the parallel API call problem, handles rate limits gracefully, and normalizes heterogeneous data sources into a single queryable interface. The scoring algorithm is simple but effective: it combines social engagement and real-money predictions into a unified relevance signal that agents can trust.
