This Streamer Isn't Human. One Dev Built It in 7 Days 🤖 #shorts
Neuro-sama is a famous AI streamer, but her code isn't open source. So one developer recreated the idea using only local models on consumer hardware, and the first version was built in 7 days. The project is open source (MIT) with 2,108 stars on GitHub (as of 31 Oct 2026).
What it does (from the project's README):
1. Real-time speech recognition and voice replies
2. Reads Twitch chat
3. Takes screenshots and prompts a vision model to react
4. Drives an avatar in VTube Studio (the default Hiyori model)
To copy the developer's exact setup you need an Nvidia GPU with at least 12 GB of VRAM (they used an RTX 4070). The developer says it is "not exactly very sophisticated".
This is an independent fan recreation. It is not Neuro-sama and is not made by her creator.

4. Runs in your browser at airi.moeru.ai, or as a desktop app
Install:
Windows: winget install MoeruAI.AIRI
Mac: brew install --cask airi
The catch: you bring the AI model. Pick a provider (some charge), or run a local model with Ollama.
