[English] ReflexGrid Co-Editing + Marco +VBA + UserForm
For more than two decades, many organizations adopting SaaS solutions have been forced to change their existing workflows to accommodate the limitations and structures imposed by software.
But what organizations truly need is not another system that dictates how they should operate. They need flexible tools that can adapt to their own business processes.
**Excel has long been one of the best examples of this flexibility.**
For over twenty years, countless organizations have relied on Excel, Macros, VBA, and UserForms to build customized workflows tailored to their specific business needs.
These Excel files are more than just spreadsheets. They represent years of accumulated business logic, institutional knowledge, and operational experience.
Yet one major limitation has remained:
**Excel applications built with VBA and UserForms cannot run directly in a web browser, making real-time collaboration and sharing extremely difficult.**
Even Microsoft's own Excel for the web cannot execute VBA macros. Other browser-based spreadsheet applications often require existing VBA code to be rewritten.
To address this gap, I developed an open-source project called **ReflexGrid**, built with Reflex, a pure Python full-stack web framework.
**I believe ReflexGrid is the world's first open-source, browser-based spreadsheet platform to bring together Excel-compatible `.xlsm` files, VBA macro execution, interactive UserForms with a visual designer, and real-time multi-user collaboration in a single application.**
This goes far beyond simply opening Excel files in a browser.
ReflexGrid aims to bring existing VBA code, UserForm interfaces, and event-driven business logic directly into the browser.
Organizations should not have to rewrite all their VBA applications in JavaScript or rebuild entire enterprise systems just to move their Excel workflows online.
ReflexGrid already includes its own VBA runtime, Excel Object Model implementation, and UserForm execution engine. Its compatibility is continuously evaluated against actual Microsoft Excel execution results.
**My goal is not simply to build another online Excel alternative. It is to break down the barriers that have separated decades of Excel-based business automation from modern web applications.**
More importantly, by integrating ReflexGrid with the Intent mechanism of my Agentic App Store, these previously isolated Excel workflows can eventually connect with AI agents, enterprise databases, and other modern web applications.
**Organizations should not have to abandon more than twenty years of Excel-based workflows and institutional knowledge just to enter the AI era.**
The Excel applications that once lived on individual computers can evolve into collaborative, AI-integrated enterprise applications.
I believe the future of digital transformation should not be about forcing organizations to reshape their workflows around software.
Instead, technology should adapt to how organizations actually work.
**Software should adapt to organizations, not the other way around.**
**Open-source project:**
