WorldAI FAQ: single-player, dice, saving, and getting help Guides: Start here | Build your campaign | FAQ and getting help A few answers from the public player wiki, plus a simple format for useful feedback. Is this multiplayer? No. The wiki describes WorldAI campaigns as single-player. Your companions and other NPCs are played by the AI GM. This subreddit is for sharing the experience, not a multiplayer lobby inside the game. Do I need to install anything? The browser game runs at worldarchitect.ai and requires an internet connection. Sign in with Google to access your campaigns. Do I have to use the suggested actions? No. Pick a suggestion or type what you want your character to attempt. Use Think to plan with the GM, Act to take action, and God to make administrative corrections or set narration rules. To stay paused in Think, type your question. Tapping a suggested story action switches to Act and plays it immediately, even from Think or God. Can I just tell it I rolled a 20? No. The wiki says the game rolls dice and validates the totals and outcomes. Describe your intent rather than inventing the result you want. Checks, your sheet, and the rules still matter. Does my campaign save? Yes, campaigns save automatically. Return to the campaign's dashboard card to resume. The game also has story sharing and download controls under More game actions. Can I fix a mistake? Use God mode to correct a stat or campaign detail. Undo last turn, when available under More game actions, is different: the wiki warns that it permanently deletes the latest exchange. Read the confirmation before using it. Are there usage limits? The wiki describes free play with per-account turn allowances, separate allowances for some administrative actions, and an option to supply your own AI-provider key in Settings. Check the live game's limit message and Settings for current details. Never post API keys or credentials here. How should I report a bug or suggest an improvement? Please include: - What you were trying to do - Your platform and browser or app version - Steps to reproduce it - Expected result versus actual result - Any error text and a redacted screenshot, if useful - Whether it happens consistently Do not include passwords, API keys, private messages, or personal information. Redact screenshots and omit private campaign/share links that could expose material you do not want public. Keep campaign spoilers out of titles. Constructive criticism is welcome. Reports here are public community discussion, not private support tickets. No response-time guarantee is implied. For general questions, tell us where you got stuck and what you already tried. Sources: Player wiki, game overview, and first-session guide. The live game is the source of truth if a wiki detail is outdated.

Build your own campaign: setting, character, and God mode tips Guides: Start here | Build your campaign | FAQ and getting help Once you have tried a session, the custom campaign path lets you shape your own adventure. Here is the short version of the wiki's campaign-design and God mode guides. Start with a specific premise The dashboard's Play a campaign button opens the wizard. Inside the wizard, choose the card also named Play a campaign for a custom world. Describe the universe, era, protagonist, setting, and the main plot hook or "what if". Universe quick-picks are suggestions, not separate prewritten adventures. Dragon Knight is the ready-made module. A useful starting template: - Setting: Where and when does this take place? What makes the world distinctive? - Character: Who are you, and what do you want? - Hook: What urgent problem or difficult choice opens the story? - Tone: Hopeful, dramatic, comedic, restrained, dark, or something else? - Power level: A grounded local adventure, gradual progression, or a powerful sandbox hero? Start with a few clear sentences. If you already have detailed lore, expand Campaign description prompt in the wizard and add your world bible, backstory, factions, and other context there. Give your campaign a Campaign Title, choose Next, review the summary, then Enter the World. Character creation follows. For character creation, the wiki describes AI-generated, standard D&D, and custom-class paths. Pick the one that fits how much control you want over the build. Give the opening momentum A mission already underway, an immediate dilemma, or an unfolding discovery gives you something to act on. You do not need to explain every century of world history before the first choice. Use God mode to steer, not just repair The wizard seeds your campaign. During play, God mode can add persistent directives about tone, point of view, pacing, and characterization. A useful pattern is: The character is X. Avoid Y. Always Z. Example to try in the game: > GOD MODE: The protagonist is cautious, observant, and loyal. Avoid reckless heroics and long speeches. Keep the narration focused on what they can perceive. Prefer a few concrete, compatible rules over a long list of vague or contradictory ones. Give a directive five to ten scenes before judging it. You can also ask God mode to change or forget an earlier rule. If a rule seems ignored, ask God to list your active rules. If removal fails, quote the exact listed rule when asking to forget it. These directives shape narration; they are not a way to dictate dice results. God mode's administrative edits and ordinary in-character actions are different tools. Keep spoilers marked, and only share lore or campaign material you have permission to post.

Start here: What is WorldAI, and how do I play? Guides: Start here | Build your campaign | FAQ and getting help Welcome to r/WorldAI_RPG! This is a place to share adventures, ask questions, swap campaign ideas, and help improve WorldAI. What is WorldAI? WorldAI, also called WorldArchitect.AI, is a single-player, tabletop-style RPG with an AI Game Master and a D&D 5e-derived rules system. You describe what your character attempts; the game narrates the outcome, rolls dice, tracks your character sheet, and saves your campaign. It is more than an open-ended story chat: checks, combat, initiative, HP, spell slots, rests, and progression give your choices mechanical consequences. You can explore custom settings, build relationships with NPCs and companions, and get involved in faction politics. Companions are played by the GM, not other human players. Play in your browser: worldarchitect.ai Your first session 1. Sign in with Google and open your campaign dashboard. 2. Click the top-right Play a campaign dashboard button to open the creation wizard. 3. On the first screen, choose the Dragon Knight Campaign card for a ready-made adventure with a prebuilt hero and companions. The other card, also named Play a campaign, selects the custom-world path; it is not a confirmation button. 4. Click Next, review the summary, add an optional avatar using the options below, and choose Enter the World. 5. Review Ser Arion's character sheet and choose Finish Character Creation and Start Game to accept the ready-made hero. You can also edit the character before starting. 6. Read the opening scene, then pick a suggested action or type your own. You are not limited to the suggestions. Add a character avatar On Ready to Launch, choose AI generate portrait or Upload your own before entering the world. A portrait is optional; you can add or change it later. - AI portrait: edit the suggested Character description, then choose Generate portrait. Review the preview and choose Use this portrait to apply it. Regenerate makes another version; Cancel discards the preview. - Your own image: choose Upload your own and select an image from your device. Position it in the portrait circle before launching. - After you start playing: tap the avatar or empty avatar slot in the game header. Choose AI generate portrait or Upload photo. If you already have a portrait, its menu offers AI Portrait, Change Photo, and Remove. When changing a photo, position the crop and choose Use This Crop. The avatar belongs to that campaign; it is separate from your Google account picture. Act, Think, and God - Act: what your character does or says. The story advances. - Think: discuss strategy and options with the GM without advancing the story. - God: edit or correct the campaign and set standing narration rules without advancing the story. To keep planning in Think, type your question in the message box. Tapping a suggested story action switches to Act and plays it immediately, even from Think or God. Use Act for ordinary play. If you are unsure what to do, switch to Think and ask about your options. If the GM has a stat or story detail wrong, use God to correct it. Your campaign saves automatically. Return to its dashboard card to continue later. Read more - Public player wiki - First 30 minutes walkthrough - What the game is and is not This is a summary of the player wiki. Screenshots in the linked wiki may show an older interface, and live controls can change. The live game takes precedence when it differs. Tell us what kind of adventure you want to play. Please mark campaign spoilers and keep them out of post titles.
