  1. See context, cost and permission checks live in Claude Code with Flightdeck Long Claude Code sessions have a visibility problem. You launch five subagents, the context gauge creeps up, a permission prompt scrolls past, and an hour later you cannot say what the session cost or what it was allowed to touch. The status line helps, but it is one row. scasella/claude-flightdeck is a Claude Code mod that adds a live dashboard pane to your terminal. Per its README, every number comes from a real session event, and nothing leaves your machine. This post covers what the pane shows, how to install it, and how to use it. What it shows The pane is a set of panels, each fed by a documented event: - main: model, effort, permission mode, a context gauge with compaction markers, cost, and the rate-limit windows your plan reports, with time to reset. - gate: one cell per permission check. Green means allowed without asking, blue means decided by the auto-mode classifier or you, amber is pending, red is denied. You can drill into files, shell and other tools, with credentials masked. - agents: your subagents as cards side by side, then as swimlanes on one time axis when there are too many. Each card shows the task, live context and output tokens, steps and a running clock. - architect: advisor consults on a timeline. - receipt and log: the last turn's duration, edits, errors and cost, plus a running log. Install You need Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, since mods are an early-access feature. Inside Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add scasella/claude-flightdeck /plugin install flightdeck@claude-flightdeck /reload-plugins /flightdeck From a terminal instead: claude plugin marketplace add scasella/claude-flightdeck claude plugin install flightdeck@claude-flightdeck Or load a clone for one session: git clone https://github.com/scasella/claude-flightdeck claude --plugin-dir ./claude-flightdeck The installer may say config options are not set. The defaults are fine, and /config changes them. Commands and keys /flightdeck open the pane /flightdeck close close it /flightdeck reset clear agents, checks, consults, log /flightdeck layout auto|compact|wide|mini override the layout Focus the pane with ctrl+x tab, then press 1, 2 and so on to expand an agent card, or f, s, o to open the file, shell or other drill-down of the permission gate. Where it runs In a fullscreen terminal the pane docks beside the transcript. On the main screen it is an inline summary of at most 8 rows. The desktop app, VS Code and mobile get the same panels, though VS Code and mobile cannot animate. The pane opens by itself in terminals at least 144 columns wide, and /flightdeck opens it at any width. Four ways people use it The Flightdeck page on Deduped collects the workflows: 1. Watch context and cost live so you see a compaction coming instead of discovering it. 2. Audit every permission check a session makes, useful before you trust auto mode on a real repo. 3. Follow subagents as cards or swimlanes when fanning out audits. 4. Review architect and advisor consults. Configuration worth knowing Options live in /config or under pluginConfigs["flightdeck@claude-flightdeck"].options in your user settings.json. A few: layout (mini, compact, wide, auto), maxCards (1 to 6), motion set to off if animation bothers you, palette set to pastel for dark terminals, and panels to choose which panels show. Caveats - It is a mod on an early-access API, and the README warns the API can change between Claude Code releases. - Some numbers are inferred, not measured, and labelled that way. Architect moments are inferred, and compactions are estimated under Team or Enterprise logins, where Claude Code's built-in guard blocks some hooks. - It only watches: the README says it never denies, rewrites or delays a tool call, and makes no network requests. - This walkthrough follows the README and we have not run it end to end. If you also want a status-line view, the README suggests running it alongside claude-hud. Source: scasella/claude-flightdeck, MIT license. 2. jarrodwatts/claude-image-view

"BlackRock Leaked 4 Trading Repos"? I Checked Every Link #Shorts A viral post by @Beaver_0x claims "Black Rock just leaked 4 GitHub repos that give you the trading desk a fund pays millions for." I opened every link. The four repos are real open-source projects, but they belong to Tauric Research, OpenBQ (the nonprofit now stewarding OpenBB), the freqtrade org and Open Byte Inc. None is owned by BlackRock. The post's QuantDinger link points to freqtrade again, and the four repos total about 255K GitHub stars (GitHub API, Oct 19, 2026), not ~282K. The post itself is mostly a pitch for Jev, TypeSafe's BUY/SELL/HOLD decision model. Source post: x.com (@Beaver_0x) The real repos: • TradingAgents: TauricResearch/TradingAgents • OpenBB (Open Data Platform, moved to OpenBQ): openbq-org/OpenBB • freqtrade: freqtrade/freqtrade • QuantDinger: OpenByteInc/QuantDinger • jev-trader (mentioned in the post): jarrodwatts/jev-trader OpenBB → OpenBQ: openbb.co Stock footage: Pexels (illustrative only). Not financial advice. Paper trade first. #Shorts #AITrading #Crypto #TradingBot #OpenSource

claude-image-view: thumbnails of pasted images instead of [Image #1] Small mod, but it fixes a real annoyance. When you paste screenshots into Claude Code, you only get [Image #1], [Image #2], and you have to remember which is which. This one shows a row of thumbnails above the prompt, each with its tag number. - shows up as soon as you paste - clears when you send - local only, no network requests Install: /plugin marketplace add jarrodwatts/claude-image-view /plugin install image-view /reload-plugins Ghostty and kitty get real pictures. Other terminals (and anything inside tmux) get low-res half blocks. Needs Claude Code 2.1.287+, macOS or Linux. Repo: jarrodwatts/claude-image-view Not mine, it's from the claude-hud author. Are half blocks good enough, or is it Ghostty only in practice?

jarrodwatts/jev-trader
