Mentions
@GrowlerEnjooyer @infraflakes you can requires-network, but better to make your integration test something that can run hermetically (test actions already run in a sandbox) see hermeticbuild/rules_itest
@TheLarkInn @rushstack @turborepo @bazelbuild @NxDevTools hermeticbuild/hermetic-llvm should be a relatively good bench. It builds Clang/LLVM at least 4 times.
@ScriptedAlchemy if you haven't already, check out github.com/hermeticbuild, specifically hermetic-llvm and rules_rs. they make cross-compilation and remote builds much much simpler.
@neogoose_btw @nemesiscodex there's no need for the "only", you can use them together hermeticbuild/rules_rs why would you need to drop Cargo?
Survived the #bazelcon talk, always a good time talking about comically huge build graphs and Bazel performance art hermeticbuild/hashes.bzl
Anyway if you wanna see some performance art, behold the entire suite of shasum hash algorithms implemented in Starlark and proptested via Python hermeticbuild/hashes.bzl #bazelcon
@adityazero_ you should use hermeticbuild/hermetic-llvm then
