Now you can write on the board with your Hermes!
Hey, Hermes users!
A few days ago, I shared my project flats:
reddit.com
In recent updates, I have implemented board feature.
You can collaborate with your agents and friends on the board!
reddit.com
This is the release note my hermes wrote for me:
flats-v013-release-en.s-h.day
and can try shared board here:
board-reddit.portal.rabbitson87.dev
Also, I'm building new features with flats itself.
This is the design mockups my agents made for me.
- flats-board-design-en.s-h.day
preview.redd.it
I'm keep adding new features! So Let me know if you have any ideas 😄

Claude Artifacts are great, until you want to use your own agent.
𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘀 is an open source project I spotted on GitHub that's an alternative to Sites/Artifacts!
Github: gosuda/flats
It's a singe Go binary that turns your own machine into a home for what your agents build. You can connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or any other MCP client to it, so you could use it with open source models too.
Your agent can make:
• 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 - static sites or sandboxed apps, also with their own SQLite database
• 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 - a single HTML artifact, so like a chart or report
• 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 - live Markdown
• 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 - HTML artboards for screens, landing pages and prototypes, etc
Agents save their work as 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀 first. Actually deploying a version needs your approval in the console.
Sharing, though, is where this gets 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘺𝘺 more interesting to me.
Normally, showing someone an agent-built site or document or dashboard means opening a public tunnel link that anyone can open.
Not very secure 🫠
Flats can serve each flat through a private overlay network instead. With NetBird turned on, every flat runs as its 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿, named after its slug, at 𝚂𝙻𝚄𝙶.𝚗𝚎𝚝𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚍.𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚍.
Your NetBird access policies then decide who can reach it.
So your laptop and phone can open that dashboard from anywhere, a teammate in a specific group can open it too, but nobody else can.
This is a flow we already use in our team, and it's really improved how we work. More on that soon 👀

Self-hosting Sites / Artifacts alternative for your agent.
I love features like Sites and Artifacts from codex and claude. But the problem is that those features are tied to those services, and I cannot use them with open-source agents.
So I decided to build an open-source alternative that works with any AI agent!
I'm building a project called flats.
It can write documentation and design and build a websites (even with databases and object storage) with a single prompt, and you can share them with your friends right away over Cloudflare Tunnel, Tailscale, NetBird, zrok, and Portal.
No domain, public IP, or complex setup is required. Just ask your agent and it works.
Here are a few examples built with and running on my flats instance:
- flats-settings-redesign.portal.dawnfullstack.com
- flats-explained.shares.zrok.io
- hermes-with-flats.s-h.day
Comments, feature requests, and contributions are all welcome! 😄
