Note that an alternative in those situations is using uBlock Origin instead of NoScript, and then configure "Medium Mode" [1]
So, when blocking javascript (which uBo can also do of course) does not work, enable javascript with Medium Mode (blocks 3th party scripts and frames.)
(personally i use Librewolf.)

Can't recommend this enough for nuking YouTube ads, FWIW.

Still unable to load an unpacked extension on latest Vivaldi for Android
I'm still unable to load an unpacked extension (uBlock Origin) on the latest Vivaldi for Android, version 8.2.4147.173. The process fails with a locale-related error when selecting the extracted folder via the system file picker. I've talked to other users who've observed the same issue and who have already reported it to the Vivaldi Android support team. But this issue is still not resolved as of 31 October 2026.
*Steps to reproduce the issue:*
1. Download the official chromium.zip of uBlock Origin from the GitHub releases page.(github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases).
2. Extract the archive to a local folder (e.g. Internal storage → uBlock Origin).
3. Open Vivaldi → Extensions icon → Manage Extensions.
4. Enable **Developer mode**.
5. Tap **Load unpacked**.
6. Select the extracted folder that contains `manifest.json` using the Android Storage Access Framework picker.
*Expected behaviour:*
The extension loads successfully and appears in the extensions list.
*Actual behaviour:*
Installation fails immediately with the following error:
Failed to load extension File/SAF/com.android.externalstorage.documents/tree/primary%3AuBlock%20Origin Error Default locale is defined but default data couldn't be loaded. Could not load manifest.

Someone built an insanely fast blocker
uBlock Origin is a lightweight browser extension that blocks ads, trackers, and malware while keeping your browsing speedy.

Sadly, this is all I’ve found.
I looked through this quickly, and it may only work on the web version IF you use a browser that supports having the uBlock Origin addon ( github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Dashboard )

1.75.1b14+ (incl. rc0) scriptlets don’t run on first page load Android
Hope this time bug report is taken more seriously ....
Android: race introduced by per-hostname content script registration (66e7596)
Summary
Since 1.75.1b14, scriptlets (built-in ones included) don’t run on the first load of a page on Firefox for Android. A reload fixes it. 1.75.1b12 is the last build that works. 1.75.1b18 and 1.75.1rc0 have the bug.
filter example for deltabit.co :
deltabit.co##+js(trusted-click-element, .clickable.player-poster, , 20)
1.75.1b12: the poster is clicked and the video starts.
1.75.1b14 and later: nothing happens on first load and nothing shows in the logger. After a reload it works.
Cause (bisected)
Between b12 and b18, the only commit that changes how scriptlets are delivered on Firefox is:
66e759691: “Register content scripts on a per hostname basis”
github.com/gorhill/uBlock/commit/66e759691bfff263…
b12 registers one content script for all sites (*, *) at startup. It is already registered before any navigation, so it always runs at document_start.
b14+ registers a content script per hostname, lazily, inside webNavigation.onBeforeNavigate → browser.contentScripts.register().
contentScripts.register() is asynchronous. When the registration doesn’t complete before the new document reaches document_start, nothing is injected for that load. There is no error and no logger entry. On reload the hostname is already registered, so it works. This race is lost very often on Android because IPC there is slower.
The follow-up commits (8f93ff1fc, 4594da551, 6a567cc55) don’t change this. rc0 has identical code in platform/firefox/vapi-scripting.js and src/js/scriptlet-filtering.js. No hidden setting restores the old behavior.
The commit message itself mentions it may be reverted if it proves less reliable than the previous single-registration approach.
Environment
Firefox for Android (Fenix), Android 14
uBO 1.75.1b14 / b16 / b18 / rc0: broken
uBO 1.75.1b12: works
Steps to reproduce
Add the filter above.
Open deltabit.co... in a new tab: the scriptlet doesn’t run.
Reload: the scriptlet runs.
