  1. Hm, should work in GPUI, albeit I see recent reports of bugs here and there - zed#63774 - ahonn/gpui-nonactivating-ime-repro Whether it’ll work in my port, depends on: - does it work in kirahowe.github.io - would it work in gpuix-svelte? I’ll know by end of next week.

GRKit v1.20 demo on Ricoh GR IV (16 new image control presets) Hi everyone! Lately there have been quite a few different mods coming out for the Ricoh GR, but I haven’t really seen many proper reviews or demos of them. So I decided to make a video showing GRKit made by u/ahonn in action. I chose this mod because it doesn’t modify the camera’s firmware. Instead it runs as a script directly from the SD card, which makes it feel a bit safer and less risky. You can find more information about GRKit here and here (the original reddit post). I’ve really enjoyed using GRKit so far. It’s very easy to install and it adds a bunch of features that I’d wanted to have for a long time but that aren’t available in the camera by default. I always like having more options especially when it comes to experimenting with different color presets and looks. The main drawback of GRKit imo is that it takes 10-12 seconds to load the script each time when you power on your camera. The second - it's not possible (yet) to make raw development with color preserts of GRKit. By the time I uploaded this video GRKit 1.2.1 had already been released. The filter selection was changed in this version - some filters were removed and new ones were added and also more framing options were added. And even newer versions with more features should be coming soon. p.s. Kodak Gold 200 looks very saturated because I added +2 saturation and forgot to reset this preset before recording the video.

I wanted film looks on my GR without flashing firmware, so I built GRKit Hey everyone, Some of you might know me from GR Snap. This one lives on the camera instead. The firmware mods going around lately look great, but I didn't want to flash my GR to try them. So I looked for a way to load things from the SD card instead. GRKit is what came out of that. It runs while the camera is on and doesn't write the firmware. To remove it, delete the SCRIPT folder from the card. It adds a sixth entry, GRK, to the ADJ menu, with five modules: - Image Control: 16 film looks, like Portra 400, Gold 200, Kodachrome 64, Vision3 500T, Tri-X 400 and Velvia 100. The live view previews the look, and Fn adjusts each one without touching your normal Image Control settings. - Framing: XPan (65:24), 16:9 or 4:3, with the area outside the photo dimmed in live view. - Guides: thirds, center, golden ratio or diagonals. - Date Stamp: the orange date in the corner, like an old film camera. - Grain: weak, medium or strong, on the photo only. You build the package at grkit.app. Pick your camera, the modules and the looks, and it makes a zip in the browser with an install guide. You can also preview every look on one of your own DNGs there first. It's free and open source (MIT): ahonn/grkit Where I could use help: I only own a GR III, so that's the only camera it has been tested on. - GR IIIx 1.60 runs the exact same code as the GR III 2.10, so it should work. - GR IV and GR IV HDF 1.11 support is experimental and untested, and Framing is XPan only there. If you try it on any of these, even a quick "works on my IIIx" or "GRK never shows up on my IV" would help a lot. Comments here or a device report on GitHub both work. Two warnings: the install turns on the camera's SD script setting, and that setting stays on. If something goes wrong, the camera can hang at startup, so read the recovery guide in the package before you install. It's an independent project, not affiliated with Ricoh. Thanks, and I'd love to see what you shoot with it. 🙏 ------- Quick update for everyone on GR IV and GR IV HDF where GRK doesn't show up: 1. GRK is the sixth entry in ADJ, so it sits to the right of the five native ones. Keep moving right. It also loads a few seconds after power-on, so it can appear late. 2. If it's still not there, check the card for SCRIPT/PLUGINS/INSTALL.ERR. The number in it tells me why the install stopped. Some GR IV and GR IV HDF cameras run a different 1.11 build from the one on Ricoh's site, for example, after an update through GR WORLD. If your INSTALL.ERR says 10, that's most likely your case. GRKit doesn't support that build yet, and I'm working on it.
