I made a free MCP server that gives AI coding assistants the real Arma 3 wiki, so they stop making up SQF commands If you've used ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot for Arma scripting, you've probably seen it confidently invent commands that don't exist, get the syntax wrong, or get locality backwards. I got tired of that, so I built a small MCP server that lets your assistant look up the actual wiki data instead of guessing. Repo: ScottTMConnors/arma3-wiki-mcp What it does - Looks up any SQF command or event handler and returns the full wiki entry: syntax, parameters, return value, locality, examples - Keyword search across all ~2,700 commands and ~300 event handlers - Lists commands by wiki group (Multiplayer, Particles, etc.) - Includes some of the BI wiki's scripting guides: best practices, code optimisation, multiplayer scripting, mission optimisation and a few more - Keeps itself up to date: it pulls fresh data on startup and every 24 hours Credit where it's due: the command and event data comes from acemod/arma3-wiki, which the ACE team generates from the Bohemia Interactive Community wiki. All I did was wrap it so AI tools can use it. The wiki content stays under BI's non-commercial terms, and the project is free; there's nothing for sale. Setup Works on Windows, Linux and macOS. You need Python 3.10+; git is optional. It works with anything that supports MCP servers, including Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Codex. The README has copy-paste config for each. It's not meant to replace knowing SQF. It just means that when your assistant tells you something about a command, it read the wiki first. Feedback, bug reports and PRs are welcome. If there's a wiki page or tool you'd like added, let me know.
