First Customer Finder: A Codex skill that finds evidence-backed potential first customers from recent public signals (1k stars)
What it does
All text below is quoted directly from the project README.
Find people with a public reason to care about your product, and know your next manual step.
Give Codex your product URL, repository, or a short description. This skill researches accessible public demand signals, qualifies potential customers, verifies suitable public contact routes, and creates a report you can open directly in Codex. Tell it which prospects fit. The next search uses your explicit feedback and local history. These are potential customers based on public evidence, not confirmed buyers. The skill never sends outreach automatically. What's new in v2
Concrete outreach: target role, observed/inferred label, verified public route or an honest missing-route warning, realistic next step, and a specific CTA.
Feedback-driven searches: keep, maybe, or reject candidates; refine the target profile with explicit preferences.
Product-local history: stable prospect IDs, duplicate exclusion, previously seen labels, and manually recorded contact outcomes.
Native Markdown + CSV: evidence and next steps in Codex, with a spreadsheet-friendly export. Standalone HTML is still available.
Stronger checks: weighted scores are computed, missing dates/routes reduce their relevant dimensions, and malformed or incomplete qualified records are rejected.

# What it does
*All text below is quoted directly from the project README.*
> Give Codex a startup idea and it returns a compact founder-style diagnosis: verdict, scorecard, core assumption, fatal flaws, problem reality, competition, first customer moves, and a 2-week MVP direction.
**What It Does:**
- Finds the core assumption
- Exposes fatal flaws
- Checks if the problem is real
- Maps current behavior and real competitors
- Plans first 10 customer moves
- Defines a 2-week MVP test
- Gives a direct strong / weak / pivot verdict
**Installation:**
`npx --yes codex-startup-pressure-test-skill@latest`

`...`

`...`

`Use $startup-pressure-test to find the first 10 customers for this idea:`
`...`

`...`

`Use $startup-pressure-test to do a deep full report on this startup idea:`
`...`
If you only invoke the skill without an idea, it will ask for the startup idea, target customer, and what the customer should do or pay for.
**Modes:**
- `pressure-test`: core assumption, fatal flaws, direct verdict
- `problem-validation`: real pain, early adopter, validation criteria
- `competition-map`: current behavior, direct/indirect competitors, switching cost
- `first-10-customers`: manual traction plan
