i missed the fun of finding new movies, so i built a netflix style page for my plex AI CONTENT DISCLOSURE most of the code is written with AI coding agents. i architect it, review everything that goes in, and test it heavily against the apps it replaces with real libraries, plus my own plex server every day. 10+ years as a software engineer, security background. the app itself doesnt run AI. recommendations are just normal code on your server. theres an MCP server coming so you can hook up your own AI if you want, off by default. my other open source projects are at 2.6K github stars and 312K docker pulls so far: github.com/CoderLuii ------------------------ hey all, first time posting here :) my plex library is huge and we still spent half of movie night scrolling and not picking anything. and overseerr only helps if you already know what you want. what actually made me want to watch something was trailers. so HolyArrs plays trailers for stuff you dont have yet, and one tap gets it on your plex. why you might want to use HolyArrs: - a netflix style browse page: hover a title and the trailer plays, browse by mood, follow an actor - request a movie, a whole show or a single episode in one tap - its own recommendation rows, worked out on your server - movies, tv shows and music in one app - multiple versions of the same title (4K and 1080p, theatrical and directors cut) without a second instance - migration that imports your current setup without renaming or moving files - nothing about your library gets sent anywhere - replaces sonarr, radarr, prowlarr, bazarr and overseerr, drives qbittorrent and sabnzbd for downloads its not public yet, ive been running it on my own server every day first. itll be free and open source. if your library is bigger than netflix (so most of you lol) id love your harsh feedback. what would make you actually use a page like this? holyarrs.coderluii.dev · get notified at launch
