My NiceGUI PR got merged: ui.timer no longer cancels await_on_shutdown callbacks on shutdown. The protected work now runs as a background task behind asyncio.shield, so a save started by a timer finishes. Thanks Falko Schindler for merging. nicegui#6372 #Python
