What does it do?
XERJ is a local-first search engine and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for AI agents that indexes code, docs, logs, JSONL/CSV and PDFs for full-text, vector and hybrid search. [1a][1b][1c] It helps an AI agent retrieve relevant passages from an indexed folder instead of reading files one by one. [2a][2b] A supported use case is reference coding: an agent indexes open-source repositories closest to a task and searches how they solved a problem before writing code. [3a][3b]
