Your AI promo videos look cheap because nobody checks them before posting.
This free Claude Code skill makes Claude plan, build, render and then QA its own video before you ever see it.
win4r/video-director
What it does:
- You ask in plain words, like "Make a 15 second looping launch video for our CLI"
- It plans the film in numbers first, and check_timeline.py validates the plan before any code is written
- It builds the video as code (HTML, Canvas, Three.js, GSAP or Remotion), rendered frame by frame to MP4
- qa_video.py then measures the render: hook text size and contrast, black first frame, flashes, freezes, loudness, silences
- Hook and call to action land on screen by 3 seconds, readable with sound off
In the author's small test, runs with the skill passed 28/28 checks vs 25/28 without it. They say treat it as a direction, not proof.
Install:
git clone win4r/video-director
cp -R video-director/video-director ~/.claude/skills/
Needs ffmpeg, Python 3 with numpy and Pillow, and Node with Playwright. MIT licence.
Money angle: SaaS founders and local brands need a short launch or promo video every time they ship something. Sell it as a fixed-price video, and let the QA step catch mistakes before the client does.
What would you make first with it, a launch video or an explainer?

据文档举例,未实测项目: github.com/win4r/video-director/blob/main/video-d…

Credit @AISuperDomain: video-director, an MIT Claude skill for Opus 5.5. It builds a short video as code, renders MP4, then Python checks measure frame 0, text contrast, loop seam, loudness. Read README/LICENSE only; not run. x.com win4r/video-director
