What does it do?
Claude-Mem is a persistent memory system for AI agents: it captures what the agent does during sessions, compresses it with AI, and injects relevant context into future sessions. [1a][1b] It helps an agent keep project continuity after a session ends by automatically recording tool-use observations, generating summaries, and making them available later. [2a][2b] A directly supported use case is Claude Code: after restarting Claude Code, context from previous sessions appears in new sessions. [3]
