What does it do?
shadcn/ui is a set of user-interface components—reusable building blocks for software interfaces—that can be customized and extended. [1a][1b] It is intended to help someone build their own component library from code they can make their own. [2a][2b] A supported use case is starting with these components and then adapting them into a personal or project-specific component library. [3]
