Linux now beats macOS on Apple silicon GPU memory bandwidth. M1 Max, Omarchy: macOS: 361 GB/s Linux before: 241 GB/s Linux now: 368 GB/s The kernel never told the power controller the GPU was busy. One bit fixed it. linux-aurora#334
@novuon_ai 💪Nice ! Would love to compare notes to the M3 GPU support that exists in omacom/linux-aurora The default branch/tip on this repo has M3 support and any gaps that you have filled would be greatly appreciated!
@tolixx Awesome, please do. @maralcbr and others on the @OmarchyMac team have been doing a lot on power management but I am sure there is more we can do. Please share your results with us - an issue on omacom/linux-aurora should get to the right people.
@ollies0x @omarchy The new kernel supports quite a few more Thunderbolt devices. Check it out at omacom/linux-aurora I did quite a bit of testing recently with my M1 MacBook Pro and a Thunderbolt-based Apple Studio Display and it works great. Try it and if it doesn't work, let me know.
@jgoyvaerts @AuroraSilicon Awesome , Jonathan! Feel free to open a PR omacom/linux-aurora
