What does it do?
cmux is an open-source macOS terminal that uses libghostty, a terminal-rendering library, and adds vertical tabs and notifications for AI coding agents. [1a][1b] When a coding agent needs attention, the terminal shows a notification ring around its pane and lights up its tab in the sidebar. [2a][2b] It also provides a command-line interface and a socket interface for programs to create workspaces, split panes, send keystrokes, and automate its in-app browser. [3a][3b]
