Facial unlock I've had my 256gb Neo since March and the one thing I really miss on it compared to my Air is the fingerprint unlock. Well, I found a program for facial unlock just 20 minutes ago and it works pretty damn good. It's called Glance an I found it on Github: jonnyoo/glanceI don't remember seeing this before on this subreddit, but if it was posted before, I apologize in advance.
Glance: Face Unlock for Mac—How It Works Could you unlock your Mac with a glance? Glance is a face-unlock app for macOS that uses Apple’s Vision and Core ML frameworks to recognize enrolled faces on-device. When its checks pass, it types your stored password at the lock screen. The app includes configurable liveness checks, support for multiple face identities, and a notch scan animation; Macs without a notch get a pill-shaped interface. Face data and credentials stay on-device. Glance is a convenience feature, not a security upgrade. The project warns that its webcam-based approach is less secure than Apple’s Face ID or Touch ID and does not reliably defeat video spoofing. Review the requirements and security details before installing. GitHub: jonnyoo/glance #MacApps #FaceUnlock #macOS #OpenSource
