I missed the feeling of editors like Sublime and Atom: open a file, start typing, and everything just feels good. So I'm building Zikky, a small native editor for macOS written in Zig on gooey (duanebester/gooey), rendering with Metal.
No AI. No plugins. Just editing.
- File tree, tabs, find, quick open (⌘P), command palette (⇧⌘P)
- Syntax highlighting for ~25 languages
- Built-in terminal powered by Ghostty's terminal core
- Optional vim mode, light/dark themes, smooth caret glide
