What does it do?

It is a local home screen, private remote browser, and push-to-talk voice assistant for webOS TVs. [1a][1b] A Linux compute host runs Chromium and the voice models, while the TV provides the display, applications, and remote control. [2] That setup lets someone use the TV as a display for a browser session and send remote voice input to the host. [3]

    Speech navigation still requires manual transport decisions. The maker of anubhavmalhotra/r2d2-tv on GitHub used WebRTC to cut latency on new TV software. Check if repurposing vendor logic for buffering voice samples reduces latency. Source: anubhavmalhotra/r2d2-tv
