Orbolay, my alternative Discord overlay, now supports full HTML/CSS customization!
Some of you may remember my older post regarding Orbolay, but for those who are not familiar, Orbolay is a cross-platform Discord overlay alternative for use on Linux (primarily as it's what I use, it should work on both Wayland and X11), Windows, and Mac. It features support for 3rd party clients as well, such as Vesktop and even web!
What's important about today, however, is that I've just wrapped up and released full HTML/CSS customization capabilities. Basically, this means you can make the UI elements look however you want without much limitation. I'm not much of a ricer myself, but I know some of you are, so this change is mostly for you haha.
For those who may care (and you should imo), this does not make use of webviews/etc., but is a native rendering solution utilizing blitz.
If this is something you're interested in, give it a test and let me know what you think! If you have any problems (with the new stuff or just in general), please submit a Github issue :)
You can take a look at it here: SpikeHD/Orbolay
...and the template docs can be found here: github.com/SpikeHD/Orbolay/blob/main/TEMPLATES.md
I also wrote a blog post a while ago that goes into some light technical stuff, if that's something you might care about: blog.spikehd.dev
