Matrix Skirt 😎 Is this sub still active, I just found out it exists? I made a matrix skirt 🥳 and wore it to our local pride parade. A friend of mine found ctnbee.com, a site where you can print your own textures on fabric. With me working in IT I wanted to nerd up my wardrobe 😅 Matrix is one of my favorite movies and I thought the code, called "digital rain" would look great on a flowy piece of clothing and decided I want a plaited skirt to enforce the straight code lines. I found a github repo (Rezmason/matrix there is a trans colored one too) that created the effect and changed my screen resolutìon to portrait mode to get more length in the screenshot for a better tiling effect. On ctnbee I chose cretonne 121 as fabric type which had a good contrast on the fabric samples I ordered earlier. Sadly it proved to be not so good for machine washing, as it lost a lot of pigment. Luckily I tested that before washing the whole piece... so, handwash only 🙄 other fabric types with more synthetic percentage kept their color better. The print width was 150cm (or something around that) so I sew together two stripes to have a lot of width and then there was lots of ironing plaits 😬 I put a stripe with a button on top and a zipper in the side and thats it, no pattern used 😮 I'm very happy for the result, but as it turns out those are not my most flattering colors 🫤 still I like it dearly. Any ideas what other tops could go well with it?
