Someone gave Claude 11 free day-trading skills, and one of them tracks what members of Congress are buying. The open-source day-trader-skill repo got almost 1,000 GitHub stars in four days. Here's what it does and the one setting that matters most: paper trading.
What the 11 skills do:
- Scan thousands of daily charts for patterns (oversold, breakouts, bull flags)
- Watch the news on your stocks and flag what might move the price
- Suggest entries and set your exit before you buy
- A risk manager that blocks trades that break your own rules
- Read the stock trades Congress members have to report (public House disclosures)
- Paper trading by default (practice with fake money through Alpaca), and no trade goes through until you say yes
Real talk: most people who day trade lose money, and the creator says so himself. It's a tool, not a money machine. Practice first, real money later... maybe.
