@Enceladae @TimSweeneyEpic Use the UE6 build on Git. github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/tree/ue6-main
No more lumen surface cache? Sounds good. ue5-main github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/837803cf… t.co
Epic Games just added support for OSC 7501 to UnrealBuildTool! github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/36fc3835…
@GetYourCheeson Nah, I wouldn't draw such far-reaching conclusions. This is a github submit to UE5 that a friend let me know of: github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/352064e4… It was submitted on December 2025 but there is a comment in the source code: // < #RED_VolumetricFiltering pawel.stolecki 2024-04-24 So it looks like actually someone from (I assume) CD PROJEKT RED (they do Witcher 4 now on UE5) implemented this feature half a year BEFORE me, probably in their own internal branch, and 1.5 year later (December 2025) they integrated it into UE 5.8.3 (which officially was released a few weeks ago). So I think that was not ill-willed :)
@danielelliott3d @EpicGames Hey Daniel! This is stock 5.8.3 github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/blob/396c9f0599… Also, this causes a warning/error on PS5 but not on PC, for some reason. matrix (and thus Matrix) is a reserved keyword, according to MS doc t.co
