@ObsidianLib Yup, and I load the embedded .db in that source2.msix. I am currently working on adding cross-platform signature validation using my other project, Devolutions/psign
In addition to pinget which is cross-platform winget, I have psign to do cross-platform Authenticode code signing, including for MSIX. I can therefore code sign *and validate* the source2.msix file used to contain the WinGet SQLite db file: devolutions/psign
I'll get it working on Windows first with external tooling for the MSIX-packaged SQLite database, but I have all the means to make this 100% cross-platform in a second step. I've got a lot of the building blocks in Devolutions/psign already for the code signing part

I added support for pinned publisher ID validation with the Azure Artifact Signing CAs in psign today and generated some docs here: github.com/Devolutions/psign/blob/master/docs/art…
