made a thing: foner lets you make and take calls from your KDE desktop through your phone over bluetooth answer from a notification, search contacts, audio comes through your pc. no account, no cloud v0.1.0, still early so be nice lol #KDE #linux AminBlg/foner t.co
I made a KDE dialler that answers my phone calls got tired of digging my phone out every time it rang, so i made foner. you dial, answer and hang up from the desktop, and the call audio comes through your pc. the call itself still goes through your phone and your carrier, foner only sends the commands. kde connect already tells me when the phone rings, but as far as i can tell it can't pick up. this does. what it does rn: - contacts and call history from the phone, search by name, number or t9 style (254 finds ali) - notification with answer / decline - tray icon, tel: links, vcard import/export tested with one android and one iphone on arch + plasma, so reports from other phones would help a lot. source + install: AminBlg/foner
