I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but since I am following the sub for a while now, and see people with some similar issues, I'm going to post it here.
My wife had a hard time looking for a job, took almost 10 months. About her: She's a junior software engineer. There were lots of portals and lots of postings, and tailoring her resume to each one took ages. So I built her Dossier, so she could quickly find postings, apply, and get a tailored resume, cover letter and email for each one.
She landed a job with it, so I've open-sourced it for anyone else in the same spot.
What it does:
- Searches for postings through JSearch (LinkedIn, Indeed and more), Adzuna or Germany's Arbeitsagentur, or you paste one in
- Writes a tailored resume, cover letter and email for each job, using only facts from your profile
- Lets you refine the drafts in a chat and download them as PDFs, with 12 resume themes
- Tracks every application from draft to offer on a board, with a dashboard
- Runs on your own server, and the AI can be a local model through Ollama, or even Anthropics or OpenAIs, so your data stays with you

My wife had a hard time looking for a job, took almost 10 months. About her: She's a junior software engineer.
