I rebuilt the website, core functions/features and wrote the first full tests for an open-source, zero-dependency share-button library during GSoC Hey r/SideProject! This summer, during Google Summer of Code with AOSSIE (an Australian open-source non-profit), I worked on many projects. One was the Social Share Button: share buttons for any website with no dependencies and no tracking. What I did: • Designed and rebuilt the website: live demo, copy-paste snippets for HTML, React, Preact and Qwik, English + Hindi, dark mode • Shipped 1.1.0: translatable labels, so the buttons fit sites in any language, and a security fix • Added the library's first test suite (72 tests, including property-based tests) that now gates every npm release Try it: social-share-button.aossie.org Repo: AOSSIE-Org/SocialShareButton npm: npmjs.com Also on Product Hunt: producthunt.com I'd love feedback on the developer experience. What would make you use it on your own project?
